šŸ“ Souvenir Shopping – Galleria Mall

If you're looking for souvenirs like magnets, bracelets, and other small gifts, I recommend checking out the shop right next to this mall!
Since there's also a Carrefour inside, you can finish all your shopping in one go.

A local friend told me this is one of the few places for souvenirs, but honestly, the prices weren’t that cheap.
For reference, a fridge magnet cost about 4,000 KRW (~$3).

šŸ›’ Carrefour Shopping List

1. Out of Africa Cashew Nuts

Tanzania is more famous for cashews, but Kenya is known for its sugar-coated cashews!
Instead of plain cashews, I highly recommend the Mixed Nuts.

2. Java House Coffee

Ever wondered why there’s no Starbucks in Kenya? Probably because Java House is everywhere in Nairobi! ā˜•šŸ˜‚

The most popular choice is Kenya AA coffee, but I also grabbed some Ethiopian beans!

Another well-known coffee brand is Art CaffƩ, a chain as popular as Java House. I heard their coffee is great too!

3. Java House Cookies

These cookies are AMAZING!
I especially recommend the Pina Colada and Macadamia flavors! šŸŖ
There’s also a mini version, making them perfect for gifts.

4. Kericho Tea

This tea is also available in Tanzania, but it’s much cheaper in Kenya—so I stocked up!

5. Animal-Printed Eco Bags

These cute tote bags with lion and elephant prints are only 400 KRW (~$0.30)!
Many people buy them as souvenirs—I got one with a lion print! 🦁

Kenyan Prices… Is this really "The New York of Africa"?

Despite buying only a few things, I still spent around 70,000 KRW (~$52) šŸ˜ā€”but I’m satisfied!

For me, visiting supermarkets in a new country is one of the most exciting parts of traveling.
It’s a great way to experience local culture and daily life up close!

I hope this post helps those planning a trip to Kenya!
Wishing you all an amazing journey! āœˆļø
