Where to stay in Suncheon?
I would like to recommend a recently opened Airbnb in Suncheon, Kim's Cozy House.
(It is run by my friend haha)
1. Modern Interior
The owner of our Airbnb is passionate about interior design, and it truly shows in every room. The space is thoughtfully decorated, blending modern aesthetics with traditional Korean elements to create a cozy and inviting atmosphere.
2. Experience Cherry Blossoms at Dongcheon Lake
Airbnb is ideally situated in front of Dongcheon Lake, offering guests stunning views throughout the year. During March and April, the area is adorned with cherry blossoms, creating a breathtaking spectacle. The sight of blooming cherry trees reflecting on the tranquil lake waters provides a serene and picturesque setting, perfect for relaxation and photography
3. Fluent in English
She lived abroad for more than 4 years and can speak English fluently. This would be very convenient as you can ask for guide or if you need anything.

Why Visit Suncheon?
Suncheon, located in South Jeolla Province, is approximately a 4-5 hour journey south of Seoul and just 40 minutes from Yeosu, a major port city. The city is celebrated for its commitment to eco-tourism, notably through the Suncheon Bay National Garden and the Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve. These areas are vital habitats for migratory birds and showcase the region's rich biodiversity.
Suncheon Bay National Garden
Established to preserve the natural beauty of Suncheon Bay, the Suncheon Bay National Garden spans 1.12 square kilometers and is home to over 790,000 trees and 650,000 autumn flowers. The garden features various zones, including the Arboretum, Wetland Center, World Garden, and Wetland Zone, each offering unique experiences. Visitors can explore themed gardens representing different countries, stroll through the expansive arboretum, and enjoy the tranquil wetland areas.
Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve
Recognized as one of the world's top five coastal wetlands, the Suncheon Bay Wetland Reserve is a haven for nature enthusiasts. The reserve features expansive reed beds and mudflats, providing habitats for various species, including migratory birds. The area is accessible via wooden walkways, allowing visitors to observe the unique ecosystem up close.
A Different Vibe from Seoul
Unlike the fast-paced environment of Seoul, Suncheon offers a more relaxed and nature-centric atmosphere. The city's commitment to preserving its natural landscapes and promoting eco-tourism provides a refreshing contrast to urban life. Visitors can enjoy leisurely walks through expansive gardens, observe diverse wildlife, and experience the harmonious blend of nature and culture.
